Microfiber towels- does color really matter

I see posts where people say the light blue are the best. If your buying from the same manufacturer, same thread count, same blend, then how can one color be better than another? I currently have blue and green mf's from CMA and don't see a difference. Any input would be appreciated. :)

I guess people like a lighter color b/c they can easily tell whether it's dirty or not. Plus it's less prone to bleeding it's color. But as far as effectiveness, I don't see any difference between the colors.

It only matters to me in terms of variety. Having all my towels one or two colors would be boring. I have blue, yellow, light green, dark green, orange and lavender colored MF towels.

Color has nothing to do with ability, the colored towels are simply dyed.

This is what i thought but I read posts where people swear certain colors are softer. Thanks for the replys.

The colors let me know what they are used for--have green, purple and grey JT International towels that are used for removing polish/wax/QD. White and light blue are Concordia towels used for wheels, door jams, etc.

I really prefer using my white MF towels - very easy to see any debris pickup!

I've never noticed any differences in softness of the different colors. Like many others, I use one color (green) for the outside things like waxing, paolishing, QD, etc. and another color (blue) for interior and tires. This way, I keep my Vinylex, Lexol and Clearkote Tire Treatment off off the towels I use to keep the paint cleaned up with.
