micro-fiber - 70% polyester

There is no cure!
i recently bought some micro-fiber towels from target. they sell them cheap and they had them in the automotive section. i just finshed washing my cars and when i pulled out these towels for some quick detailer. i kept ripping off the tags from them afraid it would cause swirls. when i get down to my third towel. as im pulling off the tag i notice it says

"MICROFIBER"
"70% POLYESTER ; 30% POLYAMIDE"

WHAT DID I JUST DO TO MY CAR. IS THAT HOW THEY ARE OR DID TARGET JUST JIPP ME?

Common blend. Those are way better then general cotton towels from the detail section. Your fine, just check for marring.

Jared is right. Most MF towels used for automotive detailing tasks are 70/30, 75/25, or 80/20 blends of polyester and polyamide.

Best way I know of testing the quality of MF towels is rubbing them on a CD & see if it scratches.

But ......

I don't know how hard you're supposed to rub .... like Godzilla or Bambi.

I try to emulate the same amount of pressure I use when taking off product or doing some QD'ing.
