mf wash temp?

i have been using a dedicated mf wash soap for my mf and ww towels. question is, what wash temp is ideal? i have been using cold. is warm or hot preferred?
 
I use the sanitary function on my front loader, which is supposed to be hotter than the hot function, and have had great results.

I've never had this happened to me. Not sure if it has to do with my quality towels but I don't get color bleeding. All my cheapo towels are washed in a separate load and they are all the same color.

If they are dark colored towels, I will wash them alone the first time or two.

But my towels are color coordinated by their use and since I wash them all separated by use I usually don't combine colors...

 
I started soaking mine in hot water with BF APC dilution (see BF APC thread for details) for 30 minutes. Then hot/cold. I started also doing the 2nd rinse with 1/4 cup vinegar for a small load. Prior to using the BF APC soak, I was using the 15 minute soak feature on my wash machine. I haven't had any color bleeding.
 
I wash MF towels at 160 degrees (internal heater) and sometimes use the steam feature if towels are dirty or full of wax, polish residue.

The "Hot" water in my washer is not hot enough to melt or ruin the fibers on the towels. And I feel like the MF cleaner washes and removes stains better when using warm/hot water than cold. But maybe that is just all in my head...
 
cold/cold with Charlie's Soap works well for me. If they are extremely grungy then a pre soak in Oxyclean & water does its magic.
