Metal dust from rotor turning stuck to paint and rusting!!!

I had my car in this shop getting some work done...well actually a lot...a few weeks worth... Anyway, the guy parked my car next to his brake lathe thing and metal dust got all over it. Then he brought the car outside and it rained...now these metal chunks are rusting on the surface of the car. I told him about it, and he is going to pay for some detailing shop to buff it. I'm not sure that using rotary buffers on it would be a good thing...I'm worried that metal chunks will get stuck in the pad and be pulled all over the surface causing major scratches.



I tried clay, and it helps, but it takes a LOT of work. and of course I do get some scratches because of the clay, even though I fold, ect...it often. I'm thinking those are better and easier removed than the rotary method.



I need some advice on a solution, or a better route. Thanks in advance!

Have you thought about a high pressure sprayer then clay then a paint cleaner or polish. If you chose to rent a pressure sprayer there are ones that have a suction tube attachment that allows you to introduce a soap solution to the spray.



Just a suggestion.
 
No, I hadn't thought of a high pressure sprayer. What would the advantage over a regular wash be? Does the high pressure knock the larger particles off, then clay for the smaller ones? Or does it clean around the impurities so I can clay safely?
