Mercedes CLK 200: Exterior Correction and Interior Protection

One heck of a first post! Excellent!

Thanks! Have been lurking this forum for a while now... thought I'd start posting too.

Nice Job and like that Photgraph Funky !!!!
Thank you :cornut::cornut:

I seen the video of this car on YouTube last year of with the same person in the picture and same clothes lol

You did?? It's the first time I've seen this car though, lol.

Excellent work, the car turned out great. Lots of great products used!

TQ! Yeah I have to detail more to cover back the costs, lucky it's fun!

Very nice job. The car looks 100% better then before. Great turnaround. Can you tell me more about Osren Magic Clay Cloth? Sounds interesting!

I may be wrong, but I assume the Osren Magic Clay Cloth has the same material as Chemical Guys CLAYBLOCK.

Smoothens the paintwork very fast, don't have to re-knead, can be used with water only. One Osren Clay Cloth costs MYR 120 (Malaysian Ringgit), that's about USD 40. One cloth is enough to be used on approximately 100 cars.

That's spending USD 0.40 only to clay a car.

The downside is, it will marr the surface and leave a slight hazing, better not to use it if you are not polishing the car. This hazing is visible on dark colours.

Secondly, because the surface is dark grey, you can't see the contaminants that are being removed from the paint. I guess that's why the CLAYBLOCK never really took off to replace the clay bar.

But to a commercial detailer, time is very valuable and I think this product is a rare gem as it cuts claying time significantly. You may not like it when you start using it but will soon appreciate its convenience.

Anyway I'm not selling the product, just my humble opinion. :)

Such an amazing first post, puts mine to shame two years ago when I started...on another forum.

I would also like to know why you went with the tire dressing you have chosen. With all of the G products you have and products available I would have thought you would have picked a product that was water based and had no potential to sling.

Thanks! First post doesn't mean first work though, *haha*.

Just wanted to finish up my excess product, I actually don't find it to be that bad? IMHO, Sling is mostly caused by excess product and when the car is driven off when the dressing is still wet. The customer picked it up the next day, the dressing on the tires were well dry by then, so wasn't too afraid about it causing sling.

In Malaysia's tropical climate, even durable tire dressings won't last long, so I thought of just sticking to "cheap and cheerful". :)
