Merc ML, Crossfire & Mondeo - 56k maybe?

3 details from yesterday.

Merc ML. I last detailed this car about 5 months ago and it's seen several long trips abroad since so plenty of grime and dead bugs to deal with. Owner soon to change to the new ML when launched. I've asked that he goes for a black or dark leather as cream leather and 3 kids don't mix too well!

Crossfire. Last detailed same time but owner wanted just a basic wash, wax and vacuum. He's decided he'll have a full PC polish once a year. I also have his partner's Suzuki Vitara to do next week and from their own description this could be an Extreme Detail candidate!

Mondeo. New about a month ago and recently damaged by a key down one side. First detail on this one and some light swirling evident plus major surface contamination.

Processes;

All vehicles - wash with Profinish shampoo (review coming shortly), wheels Profinish acid free wheel cleaner (ditto shampoo) Mondeo clayed and PB SSR2.5. Merc PB SSR2.5/SSR3 to several heavy scratches. Crossfire Carlack 68 x 2 + SG. Merc & Mondeo both Carlck 68 & SG. Tyres 4* gel and trim PB B&B. Arches of Merc treated with Neilsen Flair (another review coming on this). Glass NXT cleaner and interiors mix of Sonus Cockpit Detailer and Megs Interior Quik Detailer.

Pics to follow later as I have to go to work now!

OK here goes.

Maybe I'm being slow (wouldn't be the first time) but I can't upload these! They're all on photobucket but the IMG button appears to have disappeared from autopia so whenever I try to upload them it simply appears as script.

Any IT gurus able to help here?

very very nice! the mondeo is so reflective for a silver! a crossfire in the uk?...hmmm, how rare are those in the uk cuz i have yet to see any crossfires on the road.

Thanks.

You don't see too many Crossfires over here either. The owner's thinking of trading this against possibly the SRT version or trading down to something sensible. Nice looking car IMHO but a PITA to see out of - rear window's like my letter box!

I stuck to my tried and tested routine for silver as it's worked real nice on my own car. The Mondeo's slightly darker but I'm happy with it and more importantly so was the customer.

Apologies for the poor quality photos too - I started at 8.55am and finished at 9.05pm and could barely walk. It rained most of the day and people kept asking me to move (at one point halfway through polishing the side of the Merc...) so I lost around an hour just moving cars back & forth.

ROFL yeah considering what Top Gear said about the Crossfire I'm not surprised to hear that they're kinda rare. :har:
