Mequiar's Quik Interior Detailer on engin?

I will be clean the in engin this weekend and I would like to spray the engin at the end with Mequiar's Quik Detailers. would this be ok? has anyone ever done this? would it be ok? it's not gonna discolor the plastic or any thing like that right? i'm guessing that it won't since it's ok to be use for the interior, but please correct me if i'm wrong.

You might be the first to use QID on an engine, so tell us how it works out! You might want to try some rubber dressing instead, perhaps some ArmorAll, or Meg's Hyper Dressing or one of their other Detailer line dressings.
