Say it being used on Spike Tv's TRUCKS! Question is, does anyone know who they OEM it from. Has anyone ever used one, like dislike? Am I better off getting something else?

Thanks

Gus

It's made by Porter Cable. It's discussed a LOT here. They are nice. The Meguiar's one comes with a backing plate and pad, and the main seller is the lifetime warranty. You can get it cheaper as a Porter Cable, but typically with just a 5-year warranty.

Which model PC should I go with??

Get the one at Lowe's - only $109, and no waiting. Then order the backing plate and pads you want.

The machines are the same. The only difference between the model numbers is the stuff that comes with them. The basic machine is the same.

7424 is what you'll get online... IIRC this model has the 5" counterweight

7336SP is what you'll get at lowe's... again, IIRC this model has the 6" counterweight.

I've used both, and don't really notice a difference between the counterweights.

Meguiar's Dual Action Polisher is called the G-100. I have one, it's great.

It has a LIFETIME guaranteed from Meguiar's. I've not needed to call Meguiar's , but it's nice to know that they will replace the G-100 if I have any problems in the future.

MOL has a whole forum catagory for the G-100. IMO, it's worth the extra money to have the lifetime guarantee. Make sure to get the polishing and finishing pads while you're ordering the G-100. They have a buffing pad three-pack that's a good starter kit.

Peace.
