Menzerna's Acrylic Jacket??

Not sure how much better it can get than their FMJ. Why make two good looking sealants that both would assume long term protection?

Acrylic Jacket is not really a sealant. It's a polish/sealant similar to Klasse AIO.

Also, I don't believe any of our sponsors carry Menzerna products. I think Dwayne used to, but a few months CMA decided to scale back their Menzerna distribution. So, several websites lost their rights to distribute that line.

Hmmm. Did not know that... Would actually think about it, if it wasn't for the trim staining part...Almost had me!

A fellow DC'er let me try out the Menz line, and all I could say was wow. The FMJ really made the detail.

Edit......post 600:D

Yea! The FMJ sealant buffs off soo easily you could use a California Duster to remove it. Ok thats unlikely, but its very easy to buff.

It really does. Almost like removing a QD....:)

I too am a big fan of the full Menzerna line. I love their polishes and FMJ is nice. Definitely easy to work with. Intesive Polish can be a PITA, but nothing beats FPII.

I agree with what you'all are saying about FMJ. Haven't tried any of their other products except HGAS which I really love also.

Question:
Since Dwayne no longer carries Menz stuff, the only other places I know of that carries is properautocare.com and sportscarcare.com. At sportscarcare.com they have really great pricing, but, it looks like they don't stock enough to keep up with their demand. Any other sites carry the Menz line?

I quit buying and using Menzerna when Dwayne stopped selling it and Superiorcarcare.net stopped selling it. Both companies said that same thing, that CMA had informed them that Menzerna was no longer going to be available to any other distributors except CMA.

Now it is about 6 months later and I still see Menzerna on other websites so it looks like CMA / properautocare.com just decided to blackball a certain few companies (companies that sell products that compete directly with CMA) and keep distributors that don't directly compete as much.

I understand that businesses have to make decisions, but at least be honest with people that promote your products and don't feed them a line of crap. BTW, I live in Tampa and I drive by CMA/SELS building all the time. I never buy anything from them though ever since they got all cocky with me on the phone.

You know what I hate about this site????

When I read about a product here then wonder....should I BUY $$$$ some of this??

You guys are killing me!:D :D :D

German menzerna polishes are nice though there are better now but the US made stuff released by CMA is crap except FMJ

HGAS doesn't compare to prima and AJ/CJ
The auto wash is full of sodium and other nasties and can not stand up to medium to hard water

Haven't purchased anything from CMA yet but have emailed them and even left a phone message with no reply at all

There really don't seem to be too many places that carry it anymore. Top of the Line, Pakshak, and Attention to Details are really the only other sites aside from Proper Auto Care that carry it.

As Leyland suggested I surmise that the reason several webstores lost Menzerna was a political one. I don't think I'll ever give up using FPII, but I'm definitely switching out all the other products for ones our sponsors carry as soon as I'm out. The only problem now is I'm having a hard time deciding what to switch too! :lmfao

Interesting and thanks for the comment. I have been a big fan of HGAS but have started to become interested in similiar products from other manuf, such as Jeff's AJ. Definately need to get some AJ in and give it a try now. Much less expensive too.

Totally agree, except I have not found a finishing polish better than P085RD. Which polishes are you finding to be better than Menzerna's?

The German products are very good, but the USA line seems mediocre. I still like FMJ for its ease of use and looks, but it's durability is not very good at all. Slickness does not last much past one or two washes. The wheel cleaner is average.

HGAS is really frustrating sometimes It leaves streaks (looks like dried Klasse SG) if not wiped off immediately on black paint, or if it's a little humid/hot outside. Forget about using it on glass. CMA has not responded to 2 or 3 e-mails about the issue. If you are after an Acrylic QD, I'd go with something from Sonus, or Jeffs Werkstatt Acrylic Glos (which is actually quite good). Otherwise, HGAS leaves a very slick surface, like FMJ, but I would not buy it again.

Not to be too anti-CMA, but I have been really disappointed with a lot of their products. Pinnacle Liquid Souveran was average, and the previous line of Swirl Removers were HORRIBLE. I would much rather go with off the shelf Mothers or Meguiars.
