One photo trick for those with digital cameras that I really like...
Usually, your computer comes with a photo editor - such as Microsoft Photo Editor. When you double-click the picture in Exploder (I mean Explorer), this is what usually comes up. Then you scale the pics to make a smaller jpg file and it looks like crapola.
Solution!
Usually, you can simply right click the file and chose Open With instead. Then pick lowly Microsoft Paint. Use it to scale your picture and save it under a new name. To scale use "Stretch/Skew" off the Image menu. Enter the same numbers for horizontal and vertical (I use 25-40% usually.) Then just make sure that your new file is under 100k. If not just choose Undo from the edit menu and repeat the scale process (note that Ctrl-W brings up the Stretch/Skew dialog also.)
For whatever reason, Paint does a better job scaling jpg's than Microsoft Photo Editor. Of course if you have a high-end photo editor, just use it.
