Ok guys...ordered some Menzena products today...finally..haha....I went with SIP,PO85rd an orange power pad a white polish pad and a black gray pad....and now from reading the one topic about car specific polish it sounds like i should purchase some 106fa to use with the white or black pad instead of the PO85rd? and btw most of the cars i do are not too bad

You did good on that order, maybe some more pads I would have gotten.

If I remember correctly, you are using a rotary polisher? If so, and provided you work SIP long enough (to break it down fully) I think you will be fine with out 106fa. 106fa has a little more cut then 85rd, but can be difficult to finish down 100% hologram free on some soft paints.

I would start with SIP on a white pad to see if that has enough bite. If it doesn't, then I would consider switching to the orange pad. Once you get the car near perfect, then finish down with 85rd on a black pad.

Certainly can't argue with the two above me because I like those polishes as well. I agree, get a few more pads.

Here's what th0001 said about PO85RD in a previous post:

"At the End User Level: Most enthusiasts and detailer prefer 85rd over 106ff for finishing on a rotary polisher. At this level 106ff has show some ability to ?fill? defects on particular paints, which is obviously not a problem when it is used at the OEM level as it was designed. Many enthusiasts believe they get a finer, sharper finish with this polish, with more gloss, then any other polish available.

My experience: 85rd is one of the finest polishes I have used, and seems to work well on 95% of the paint?s I have used it on. I find that is one of the only polishes I can use to finish out ultra soft paint perfect on a rotary
."

I think you'll find you won't regret buying it. Don't get too hung up on the others. You'll like the one you bought. My .02
