menzerna powerlock sealant, made in germany?

Not too sure how a law suit could develop from all this hype (aka marketing) but hey, anything could happen. And yes, I?m very certain that PL isn?t made in Germany or by Menzerna GMBH. I haven?t gone to the manufacturing facility to see this with my own eyes but was told from several sources within the manufacturing/blending industry that claim it?s a local offering. I?ve never said I didn?t like the product, just don?t care for all the inaccurate hoopla surrounding it. It?s being marketed by certain retailers as something it isn?t, which right there is enough to sour my attitude towards it.

Case in point:

Product Description
Menzerna Power Lock Polymer Sealant is Menzerna's first pure sealant that will give your paint a deep shine and valuable protection. Use the Menzerna Power Lock Polymer Sealant and you'll see why Menzerna is regarded as one of the top manufacturers of high quality detailing supplies.

Apr 3, 2010 ... this is the new and improved polymer sealant from Menzerna, a much improved version over the Menzerna FMJ.

Menzerna, the maker of fine polishing compounds, offers you another innovative option for paint protection: Menzerna Power Lock Polymer Paint Sealant.

Neither of these descriptions are true statements. It?s not being offered by Menzerna, the maker of fine polishing compounds. That?s where my piggyback statement comes from and is blatatanly not accurate. It?s offered from Menzerna USA (who isn?t a manufacturer) and is made for them.

Wow, you really have a hard on for the ppl @ Menzerna David /:)

I just don't understand why they would put (Made In Germany) on there bottle. This to me would cleary fall under the breach of trust law not to mention false advertisment. There are probally a few International laws I could come up with also :-?

Anyhow, like I was saying earlier. The product preforms as advertise, produces fabulous results and my customers seem to really enjoy a nice deep rich glossy finish, so I guess count me down as being one of the ones who you say falsley hype this product Da Rules!

David I really enjoy seeing you rip apart posters who don't know what the heck they are talking about, and post bad info. I hope you know I still love you even though we disagree on this matter <:-P

Hugs -n- Kisses

Please believe me when I say I have no problem with Menzerna. I don't. If my hard on was that erect I wouldn?t still be using their polishes on almost every detail I do. I just can?t stand how certain people twist their marketing to mislead people. This forum is about the Truth and there are no agendas as far as my observations go.

Again, the whole legal issue is unknown to me. It?s not my specialty and I?m not qualified to comment on it.

If PL works for you then great! That?s all that counts and I?m sure it?s a good product. The company that produces it makes really nice LKQ products too. Nothing wrong with hyping that. The days of poor performing sealants have almost disappeared in the enthusiast/high-end market. They're all good and pretty much do as advertised.

I love you too (in a non-gay way)!! :notworthy:

Discussions like this are hopefully beneficial to those who would like answers to the OP's question. If a discussion leads to a 'healthy debate' then great, but please keep all posts respectful!

:iagree:

:hurray:

On another note, I think Fermani's posts are spot on, but why would it say made in Germany on the label?

:-B you like these smilies, don't you???\m/

Everybody loves smiles, they are like receiving gifts under the tree at Christmas :Gift:

The use of perfectly applied smiles is much like the art of heal-and-toe downshifting :driving:, while power sliding through a switch back, clipping each apex in a generically styled convertible :Car smiley:. :D < Opps bad taste, a classless double smile. Director Director Director

As proven my gross misuse of the smilies, I am not a smilie artist. Maybe if my parents loved me more, I would developed this part of brain. Boo Hoo

;)
