Hi all, this is my first post on this forum but i know its not going to be my last as i have a number of questions if i cant find the answers on here.

i have a porter cable and have used it on my car and a few others, but two question i do have are.....

1. what speeds do you apply menzerna to your car, and what speeds do you then go to and how many passes on each speed.

2.secondly i put two spots on the sfx pad away from the edge, but yesterday i did find the product drying quickly and it definately wasnt warm weather! is this due to not enough product or could there have been another reason?

cheers guys

I don't have a PC but I have a UDM and here's what I did.

Menzerna IP: speed was between 5 and 6, and I worked it probably 3-4 passes and then buffed it off with a microfiber towel. This stuff was dusting like crazy but the shine was very nice. I used a white LC 6.5" pad

Menzerna FP: speed was 4.5 to 5, and I worked it probably 3-4 passes and then buffed it off with a microfiber towel. This stuff didn't dust at all and the shine was very very nice. I used a black LC 6.5" pad

I applied the polished in an X about 3 inches long for the IP and about 2 inches long for the FP.

I also sprayed one shot of XMT pad conditioner on the pad about every other panel.

I've used SIP and the Micro Polish on a couple cars with the PC.

With the SIP I put two lines about an inch long on the pad and worked it on speed 6. AFter the first section, I dropped the amount of polish to two dime sized dots. I used moderate pressure for 3-4 laps going slow, and then two more laps with little to no pressure going a bit faster. I had no problems with dusting.

The Micro Polish I used pretty much the same, but had quite a bit of dusting.
