Menzerna and RMG what pads to use with the PC?`

I've seen the awesome results from Rag and Scottwax (I know they are pros) with the mixing of the Menzerna products and RMG. I mixed 2oz bottle batches of PO106FF w/RMG, IP w/RMG and FPII w/RMG. So I'm wondering what pads should I use for my detail? I own the following:

1 Orange Lake Country

2 White Lake Country

1 Yellow Excel Pad

1 Blue Excel Pad

1 Meguiar's Burgandy Pad

1 Meguiar's Yellow Pad

I have own a heavily swirled black IS300 that I really need to attack with these polishes. I plan on doing at least 1 pass with each Menzerna/RMG polish so I'm wondering which pads to use with my PC?

Well Didn't hear from anyone so I'm going to do the following in this order:

PO106FF w/RMG with a white LC Pad

IP w/RMG with a orange LC Pad

FPII w/RMG with a white LC Pad

If anyone has any better suggestions I'd like to hear them. Thanks.

I would skip mixing RMG with the first two polishes, as when you go to you last step it would just cancel it out. The abraisives in the FPII mixture would knock out anything the RMG in the revious 2 steps left. Just polish as normal....then when you get ready to go to your FPII use the mixture. This is still in its experimental stages, and I don't think RMG has been tried mixed with FPII yet, it could hinder the way FPII burnishes the paint, not sure tho.

I would of done:

IP/RGM-orange LC

106ff/RGM-white LC

Thats it.

I would agree with this suggestion. keep it simple. also do a test spot with the 106ff first. you will be suprised what it can do if you slow down and take your time with it. if that fails then by all means step up to IP. sorry I saw this post late or else I would have chimed in earlier. BTW, menzerna and black are a great combo

Can someone chime in please, I'm gathering my things to get ready to do my detail. I can't wait for the outcome.

I don't know about RAG but I was detailing an Audi S4 today with the rock hard paint from he!!.

I've been using the 106/RMG combo with a white LC pad. If you ever want to know what I am using personally with different products, I always mention the pad I used with each polish in click and brag threads and in my gallery.

I haven't used the other two Menzerna products so I can't advise on the pad to use with them.

So I went ahead and used the 106FF/RMG with the white pad. The Car looks sweet. I'm gonna do the others. Just to see if I can improve the swirls and scratches I found. THe 106FF remove some imperfections but I think it can get better. Anyway here are some before shots of how dirty my car was:

Apparently my IS300 has no clear coat, that's my white LC Pad after more than half the car.

Here are the afters of my hood and boy I love this 106FF/RMG combo.

Thanks to everyone's suggestions. I'll keep posting more results as I work more on the car. If anyone has more ideas on how to improve the look of my car. It would be greatly appreciated.

Looks great! What LSP did you use?

So you think you where able to get out most of the swirls on the IS300 using 106ff/RMG?

No LSP yet, just the 106FF/RMG, I was pretty impressed with the look. I'm not sure what LSP to use. I still need to go over my car with the IP and FPII. Any suggestions for an LSP? I have SG and Souveran.

Sorry I've been absent for so long...I've been a bit overwhelmed with work. Per your first post, defenitely do the IP combo first, then the 106FF. The 106FF/RMG mix has become my go-to final polish on black and other dark colored cars...I find that a lot of other polishes leave micro-gashing that is noticable on black - the 106FF does not seem to do this except on super-soft paint (I just buffed out a black car that was repainted a few days prior and noticed a little micro-gashing from the 106FF...but this was solved by going to the ultra-soft white propel pad).
