Menzerna Acrylic Spray

Who has this and has used it on FMJ? I'm about to place an order and am interested in how the products work together.

Here's what I wrote about it:

Finally got my Acrylic shield in today and compared it to Platinum UGE side by side on a surface that had FMJ just applied to it. The Acrylic shield is slightly more difficult to wipe off, probably due to the polymers, however it left a finish that was more slick than UGE by far!

Really nice stuff to use after a wash.

From this thread:

I wonder how much this spray aids longevity. In any case, if I was using FMJ or Klasse I'd pick this stuff up. With UGE, Acrylic Shield, and Z6 on the shelf, I feel like I have the QD area covered very well. Each is different, and each have their strong points.

Will be getting this soon and will undergo serious testing at my laboratory

Found WG detail spritz to be streaky and hard to remove as well but have modified it and now works absolutely beautifully

The latest mix I did actually has wolfgang DGPS in it.

Ian, is your detail spritz 1st or 2nd version? I just tried the 2nd version (after more than few months in the box) and it's not streaky at all, very easy to wipe off and leaves the paint very slick (comparable to UGE in my eyes)

i have used the new menzerna detail spray. i found it to work great! it is suppsoed to enhance the duralbility of FMJ as well as make a slick shiny surface. i did find that it was more difficult to remove than any other QD that i have used. from what i understand the product is to be used once a week or so just maintain FMJ. i tend to use a QD way to much but the price of the menzerna QD got my attention and i used it as directed.

it did what it claimed to do. will always have it on the shelf to use with the menzerna products in my arsenal.

I did a review of it for the corvetteforum several weeks back. I have found that you need to use "very little" and it streaks badly when used in "direct sunlight". It works so well on Zaino Z2Pro that the extra gloss and slickness has to be seen to be appreciated. Dont know how well a dig pic can show the added gloss but here goes:

I've used the Sonus Spritz over FMJ with good results ... haven't tried the Menzerna Spritz yet because I've always been pleased with Sonus.

I have it and used a few weeks ago, it is very finicky to use. At the price of this product I would have expected much more. From now on I think I will stick with my Sonus detail Spritz because it is easy and I get good results. As for the product after buffing a bit it did add a nice shine to my FMJ and was fairly slick but not as slick as adding a coat of FMJ. Hope this helps. Oh and I did this while the car was nice and cool and out of sunlight as directed on the bottle and tried using from very little to more but same difficult results.

Has anyone used the NXT QD spray? I have used sonus with great results, I am ordering the Menzerna QD , next order.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I don't know if I will order this. I'm wondering if Z6 will provide the same protection properties as this product. Even at $10 a bottle it's a steal in comparison to the Menzerna.

Compared to Z6, it seems like the acrylic shield would provide more protection, but I would have to do a side by side test to confirm. Acrylic shield seems somewhere between Zaino Z6 and Z8. I guess that is why Sonus makes an acrylic spritz and an acrylic glanz.

I picked up the 32oz. bottle without trying it, and I'm glad I did. However, if anyone is picking up FMJ, you get a bottle of Acrylic Shield thrown in for a penny. So it's not a bad deal.

Well, I did order it and I do like it. I got the 32 oz. and have been using it with a pump spray bottle that yields a fine mist. This seems to work very well as it uses little product to cover the entire car. They would start the "deal" after my order of FMJ.
