I was doing a quick one step on a civic yesterday useing my PC, nothing crazy speed 5, duragloss on a white pad. Felt alittle heat nothing out of the ordinary, about 3 hours or so few little breaks got finished noticed a small melted area dead center of the plate. Any ideas or had this happen to you?

Which bp was it ? I recently had a w68da have the center seperate after getting hot and fly accross the room. One call to Meguiars customer service after a tip from Kevin Brown and I had a new one free of charge in the mail asap. Their customer service was great IMO.

There are a few threads about people melting BPs on this forum, but I think this is the first of a Meg's BP melting. Mine get pretty dangerously hot if I'm trying to push through finishing a vehicle without giving it many breaks, but I still have yet to melt a BP myself (knock on wood). Meg's customer service is awesome though, they have a form you can fill out on their website about product defects or questions, you can even upload a picture to them to show them what you're talking about. I had to do this with a MF pad blowing apart on me and they sent me a brand new one the next day. Link: http://www.meguiars.com/en/contact-us/

Thanks guy's I was wondering if it was just me..lol I have never had any problems with the Megs BP before I will make a call to them. And yes always great service..
