Meguires is better then P21S

Just wanted to share my experiance using gold class, I have a 96 Honda Accord Very Dark green. I applied 1x AIO and 3X SG about two months ago then topped it with p21s. The P21s really did not make any noticeable change. Yesterday I threw on Gold Class and what can I say my car hasn't looked better in years. The dark green became a very VERY dark green. With P21s the car did not look very good in daylight but glowed in the dark. Now the car looks awesome in the daylight. I am very happy pics soon

That is very strange, but there are so many variables that could have come into play for you to form the opinion of GC being better than P21S. I personally also think P21S is better than GC. I used GC when I first started waxing and it does well on light colored cars but I hate to use it on dark colored. It streaked for me and wouldn't buff off on black all the while giving me a sterile shine.

Meguires?? Never heard of it.

Meguiar's, maybe, but never Meguires. :xyxthumbs

And no, P21S is better overall - maybe your results vary from this, but not on average.

Meguiar's Gold Class is loaded with yummy oils that some darker paints crave. They will eat that stuff up and shine like crazy. I've never tried P21S, but Gold Class has one of the shiniest glosses of all the waxes I've used.

If it had been 2 months since you waxed with P21S and then applied Meguiars Gold Class, that really isn't a fair test, since the P21S had faced 2 months of weather, washing, dust, etc. You really should test them side by side at the same time. I think you will find under those circumstances P21S will come out on top.

I've used Meguiars Mirror Glaze and now Body Shop Professional products for years now in my detailing business, and for paint prep, their stuff is the absolute best, IMO. I have also used Gold Class and #26 (liquid) and I prefer the #26 since the paint has a wetter look and it dusts far less. I have also found that on my car (a bordeaux red Honda Accord) that both Pinnacle Souveran and P21S aka S100 both outshine any Meguiars wax I have used-and for the price, they should.

Well before I learned my way from you guys I used gold glass and thought it was great so I found this board and learned about Klausse, Zaino...etc. I figured P21S would be better so for the past year I have been using the klausse twins with a P21S topper. Now I switched back to Gold class and the car has never looked better. It really makes the paint look wet. The past two days my car has gotten so many looks its crazy. So I will stick with my $10 wax. :)

Derek, if it works better for you, then that's all that matters. Don't let these guys push you around. ;) Thanks for sharing your experience. :xyxthumbs

Thanks yea I don't think they are pushing me around but I too found it hard to belief. I have both waxes and the cheaper one works much better. Seems like the P21s just goes on top of the klausse and does nothing while the gold class gave the paint vitamins and steroids and makes it a deep wet look. Maybe it has more oils or something. Well I don't think honda paint is that great but GC really makes it look outstanding.

Just use whatever works best for you. :)

There are lots of other factors anyway, and some waxes work better on other finishes/colours than others. And then there's the "eye of the beholder".

Lots of people like Gold Class.

Lots of people like P21S.

Both are excellent.:xyxthumbs

What?? Do you mean that there should be some universally constant ranking of car-care products? :nixweiss

Since there are so many different variables in our cars, I think it's totally possible (albeit surprising) for you to get better results with the Meguiars than P21S. My brother recently bought some Gold Class for his black Jetta and I didn't expect much of it until I saw the finished result. The car came back with an incredibly deep, rich shine. Lucky you for finding something that works for you and happens to be cheap and readily available.

aurora 40.......................................Rankings dont mean anything its up to the user.Just because it is more money doesnt mean its better. You try 2 waxes the cheaper one to you looks better(it happens) so you go with what you like. Its your car its your call to make.

In a few short weeks, you will all have your chance to tell your story and cast your vote for products on

Autopia Reviews. I have only a single product loaded so far (Souveran Wax), but you can use it to play around and see how reviews will work. It will take some time to enter all of the rating criteria and products.

Niceeeeeeeeee.

Who are the 38 vendors? Did u just eneter zaino, ,meg. mothers and stuff like that? Or are the vendors like CMA ect......

stupid me, i didn't see the button on the top...

p.s zymol is in twice.

Alan, I get it now. I thought you meant "No 'whatever works for you' " as in there is no "whatever works". As in there is some absolute better product. I see what you really meant is "No, whatever works for you". As in there is no right or wrong, just whatever works.

P.S. is your caps-lock key broken or something? You seem to post in all caps a lot. :nixweiss
