Meguires #9 before and after

I detailed a 03 Grand Am which I didn't think the paint would be to bad..... All I had with me on the abrasive side was #9 and the PC w/ white pad. I got almost all of them except for the real bad ones........ Here are the pics.

It looks great--I'm just wondering if it filled most of those swirls...isn't #9 similar to 3M SMR (which I think is a waste)...
