Meguiar's Ultimate Protectant

It looks like a wonderful product and I can't wait to add it into my stable of products! It might even become my favorite product--better than my Hyper Dressing product :idea.

Is there anything that's meg's related on MOL actually NOT reported as a favorable product? :lol

We'll see about it. Meg's is coming out with a LOT of new stuff this year. Still awaiting the announcement of the new SOLO 2.0.... Supposed to be something out of this world from what I've been hearing...

True. The pictures look convincing, though, Cali isn't exactly the rain capital. If it does what it says, its going to be the holy grail of protectants.

I was wondering the other day if that's why reviews of Black Wow vary so much, since BW comes from SoCal.

But it only says "Protection & shine lasts weeks!" That's not much of a claim to have to live up to.

The duragloss leather and vinyl dressing i put on textured trim on a Laredo. It didnt run in the rain, darkened the trim, beaded water, and lasted 4 weeks with some parts lasting 8 and still going.

Another UltraHyped megs product, yay. All the reviews are coming from hype spokesmen at the other board, holy grail is right.

Exactly my thoughts. What separates this and other dressings?

From what I've read, it seems that unlike many dressings it dries to the touch in minutes. From what I can tell it isn't super high shine, more of a natural sheen and it seems to last and last. I, personally, cannot wait to use it!

If it ever comes out in Canada (we haven't seen Ultimate Compound yet, UQW is nowhere in sight, NXT car wash is unavailable, etc...) I'll be happy to test it on my RAV4. Black Wow completely fails in our cold climate, just like the other trim protectants I tried so far.

!! all the products you listed are in Canadian Tire, and other places like partsource carry them too, you can find a retailer near you on megs site

The only thing I didn't like about it was that it was thick in consistency. I prefer dressing that can be sprayed when needed. That being said it spread very well, left a nice matt finish, and was dry to the touch in minutes. I will likely be picking up more for use on exterior trim. ;)

I'm not seeing that???

Some are very well written reviews by people who have extensive experience with many similar products (Tim L). The reviews show clear pictures of how the product looks compared to many different products already on the market. It's obvious it has a matt/natural finish, it's thick in consistency, and all the reviewer agree that it leave a nice no greasy feel that is dry to the touch. I don't see anyone saying it's like the greatest thing since sliced bread. :nixweiss
