meguiars products for boats

Is it just me, or does some of meguiar's boat products look the same as their automotive stuff, but with a different label?

For example, their boat wash M4364 looks like their deep crystal car wash. The same goes for their gel wash.

Their flagship marine wax looks like their gold class wax, and the flagship vinyl & rubber protectant looks like their gold class vinyl & rubber protectant.

Not trying to bash megs, but I don't get what the point in doing that would be? I mean wouldn't this be considered misleading to a point?

its segment marketing -a boat owner feels better buying a product with a boat on it vs a product with a car on it. Collinite, Finish Kare and others do this.

I don't get what the point in doing this would be? More exposure? More profit? It's kind of like chevrolet and GMC. My 1998 chevy silverado is pretty much the same as a 1998 GMC sierra.

Wannafbody, I deleted the post before your reply by mistake. Thanks for your explanation.
