Meguiars Lambswool mitt losing fibres?

Hi Guys

Just wondering if there is anything you need to do to prepare a lambswool mitt for use? I recently bought a Meguiars Lambswool wash mitt, and when washing the car I notice it leaves some fibres behind (a few per panel) and when rinsing it in the bucket it is also leaving fibres behind there. It's quite annoying having this problem, and is not something I expected from Meguiars! I've done a search and the only thread I could find specifically on the Megs lambswool mitt is all positive (though from a few years ago, so they may have changed something?) and saying that it doesn't leave fibres behind! So just wondering if this is something I've done, or if I've copped a dodgy mitt?

I have not seen any lambswool mitt made by Meguiars. I have a few of their (now discontinued) Chenille mitts. They shed like crazy for the first 10 or so washes, the car was full of lint.

Cheers for that Mark, the Megs lambswool mitt is here - Welcome to Meguiar's Australia, the Leader in Car Car products couldn't find it on the meguiars US site, so maybe it is an Au only product?

I would have expected them to make comment about the possibility of shedding for the first few washes though, so people don't think it will just continue like that! I have a megs microfiber mitt coming soon, so may just use the lambswool one on other family members cars and keep the microfiber one for mine :D
