Meguiar's Hot Tire Shine

I really like most of Mequiar's products but I've never really cared for Meguiar's Hot Shine Tire Spray. In fact for the most part I've thought it was garbage. I cleaned my truck up today and it was only 34° outside. By the time I was almost finished I was cold and I knew that the products I normally use on tires would either take me a while longer (and I was too cold) or wouldn't dry well in the cold. I thought what the heck and grabbed a can of this that I've had sitting around for some time. If you don't want a high gloss finish you need to wipe it down to take some of the shine off. I would never recommend this as a first choice but it worked quite well given the temperature and I'll probably keep a can on hand just for this type of occasion. Might be worth a try if you live a cold climate. :idea

Everytime I used Megs High Endurance tire gloss it always slung off, no matter how long I let it sit. Of course I didn't wipe it down because I bought it for the un-natural shine look.

To make a long story short, I went to Zaino, which is a low shine, but I have never had it sling off and it seems to keep my tires looking clean longer than anything I've used.

God i hate the Hot Shine product - its awful.

Meguiars - fix it or take it off the market - it is giving you a bad name!!!!

Wow! I can't believe what a poor job I must have done in making a point in my first post.

I was only talking about how this product gave a decent result under a certain circumstance. I wasn't talking about another product mentioned (High Endurance) and the spray won't sling off assuming your using it correctly. If it does you've done something wrong. I've only used it a couple of times and haven't noticed it turning my tires brown though it may. It went on quickly and dried in the cold.

It seems like everyone is giving me ideas for a different product to try. I stated that this isn't my first choice, it isn't the product I normally use. I would never recommend it to someone to be their first choice either. I've got a couple of other products that I use and am happy with under warmer conditions. We have a lot of days like the one I've described if you know of product that works well in these conditions I would love to know about it.
