Meguiars Detailer Line APC+ (D103) To Be Discontinued

Just a heads up:

In a recent email to Meguiar's about the cleaning abilities of its two All-Purpose Cleaners, D101-regular and D103 "Plus", I asked which is "better". I assumed the "plus" implies better, but as most of you fellow Autopians know, the "Plus" (D103) is designed as a low-foaming formula for use in carpet extractors. It really does not clean any better than the standard D101 APC (according to Meguiars). However, in trying to help make my decision on which one to buy and use, the Meguiar's Technician stated that the "Plus" (D103) will be (or is) discontinued. It was NOT stated why Meguiars is choosing to discontinue it, if it is because of low demand or problems getting the chemicals needed to produce it.

I personally like the standard APC, D101, "better" because of the fragrance, BUT, I do not use an extractor to clean interior fabrics or carpets. David Fermani's method of using microfiber towels to "wick" or absorb the residue by capillary action and wiping it several times works O.K. for me, although not extractor-like clean.

Anyway the point is that the APC+, D103, will no longer be available and for those Autopians who do like Meg's APC+, it may be time to stock up now.

(Ah, yes, shades reminiscent of Meg's No. 16 Mirror Glaze Paste Wax discontinuance)

Strange, some Meguiars reps came on Detailer Buddies and said the 55gal and 1gal were discontinued and the 5gal was still available. Seems Autoality is still offering the 5gal sz.
