hi all,

so far ive use the Poorboys SSR lines and they have produced good results when it comes to taking out swirls and scratches. i plan to try out the megs #80 and #83 in the future, plus i live really close to a megs. official detailing shop. i just want to know for those of you with experience on this product how good is it?

sorry if this is in the wrong section of the forum.

Meguiar's product is not as bad at all. each and every product manufacture has there own learning curve but if you can master the process all products will preform for you with stellar results. as far as the #83, #80 the #83 that I have in my collection works well (machine only) I do have some issues with it gumming up on the pad a lot. The #80 I feel works just as good as the PB's Pro Polish, they both work great for me.

Good luck

Meguiars #83 works good. dust a lot, does tend to gum up after a couple panels, and leaves a little bit of haze. ofcourse that is expected from a med.cut polish.

#80 does an awesome job of removing micro-marring/haze and the oils in it fill w/e imperfections were left and leaves a nice wet look. bump for both but iw old use one without the other.

They are both pretty good products. I used them more with the pc. I dont use them with the rotary at all. I use menzerna for the rotary and optimum too. #83 always did a nice job of swirl removal via pc and then #80 usually worked good to clean up. I dont really care for meguiars products anymore becuase I find they have fillers. #80 does especially "speedglaze". Give a shot though!

It took me almost a whole bottle of DACP to figure out ow much to use, but now that i got it, man the stuff wipes off easy, is squeeky clean, removes defects pretty well, all around very good product to use with the pc.

If your fighting with it, use less, all i can say haha.
