Man, everyone is sold out of this thing. I was planning on ordering a Makita and this backing plate, looks like I will have to wait till someone gets it in stock!

I've found several places that has them in stock, but not sure what model # your looking for.

I might be able to get one from my local paint store if you'd like. I bought one from them a couple of weeks ago. I think with shipping to you and everything would be about $25. Just let me know if you want it...

Right off ADS site unfortunately...

Product Description

Meguiar's Self-Centering Rotary Buffer Backing Plate allows quick and easy pad changes with its Velcro backing system. The patented self-centering system guarantees pad balance, and this plate is designed for use with 6.5-inch pads and to fit all rotary buffers with a .625-inch diameter shaft.

I stand corrected, and I cannot believe how cheaper it is on Amazon compared to other sites. However, that has a different shaft size than the makita. I do not think the Makita comes with a .625 shaft size.

Thanks both of you.

it should fit the makita, that's the standard size threading that megs uses on the backing plates...
