Meguiar's #1... Not for PC?

Until I discovered and started using M105, I was pretty much sold on Meguiar's #1 Medium Cut Cleaner. It's a nice compound/polish that works fairly fast and sometimes doesn't even need a follow-up with a fine polish.

Someone told me... "Read the label". Clearly states... "For Rotary Use ONLY!".

Can anyone answer why?

I used it for 2 years with a PC/5.5" pads, not only with no problems, but with great success.

I guess this means I have to stop using it with my PC!!!:cornut:
 
The DA just doesn't have the power to break down the abrasives in M01. Yes, it will remove deeper defects than a milder polish, but you have to deal with the marring.

I have never had much success with M01. It's too thin and the finish is pretty poor. M83 is so much easier to work with.
 
Im pretty sure M01 is a rotary only product, unless it has been reformulated. The abrasives used in M01 are fairly chunky and are even effective at removing paint transfer. Like the above poster mentioned, the D.A does not have the power to break those abrasives down.

You could always try M02, its close to M83 in aggressiveness.
