Gold Class has light cleaners in it so it really isn't directly comparible to S100. If I was going to go with a Meguiars product that is very similar, it would be #16 Pro Paste. Similar look, similar ease of use and more durable. Probably harder to find though.

Yeah gold class looks pretty good but it dusts and stains trim like crazy. S100 is a nice wax, easy on easy off and doesn't stain trim. I've been using s100 SEC and s100 carnuba for some time now and finnaly decided to use a sealant for better durability. If the car is your daily driver you may want to consider a sealant as well.

This is my car with the s100 wax...( i made this thread because a friend wanted to know what was better)

Johnson's Paste Wax.

Actually, I have no opinion on S100 as I never felt the need to try it. I have always gotten outstanding results with the Meguiars products I've used (lately NXT and #16).

Scottwax, #16 can be picked up at my local AutoZone, Advance Auto PArts, and O'Reilley's (which has a really large Meguiars selection for a chain auto store).

S100 was SUPER EASY to use and I really like that, BUT #16 is my "other vote" for the poll:usa

(I smoke a few cigars so I can't fully appreciate the Crayon smell, but there's nothing wrong with my eyes! #16 is outlasting the S100.):D

#16 ROCKS ! ! ! :bow :bow

I have used P21S/S100 for a long time now. Since I have used #16, it really shows itself as a great carnauba in todays world of waxes and sealants. Plus, #16 is really more wet and liquid looking and lasts longer.

Cheers,

I have used S100, #16 and #26 and quite frankly there is really a bees knee of difference between the 3. IMO any quality carnauba wax will look good, but as many on here will testify ( and I've learned since joining autopia ) that preperation is more the key.....

SouthernZ71, look at boating supplies stores. Out of sheer curiousity, I visited every marine supply shop in town and every one of them carries the Meg's Marine line and for some reason, #16. I would assume that the Big Easy has a few West Marines or Boat U.S.'s.

i've used #26 and p21s ...#26 seems to add more depth p21s gives me the same gloss i had with zaino but goes on like butter

Marty the best thing about # 16 is that when you've used it all up you can put 4 or 5 kinks around the rim and it makes a great ashtray and conversation piece! :up
