megs or sonus

i have had a rash of swirls.....removed with 83/80 but its a pain....i mean really bad, my gf's malibu was sooo much easier with less swirls..... (01 jetta)....



would a sonus system be better, as i have seen better results on euro cars with sonus products, or is it me? i can get it done with megs, but it takes forever (2 hrs on the hood alone) vs 30 min for the malibu.....



any other system recomended?







also.....would the addition of a foam gun help reduce chances of swirls in a 2 bucket wool mitt wash system (grit guard too)?





any help is appreciated
 
VW clear seems to pretty hard compared to most, although I am not familiar with much of Megs or Sonus line of polishes.



If neither of those work for you there is Menzerna, Optimum, Hi Temp, and a few others I am sure you could try. The foam gun would reduce the chances of swirling too.
 
For me, if #80 and the DA doesn't remove defects I go right to #80 and the rotary. Going #83 on the DA then #80 on the DA just takes too long. #83 just seems a little tough for the DA to break down efficiently. I know some people have great results with it but that is just my preference and maybe something for you to consider.
