Meg's Interior Detailer leaving stains?

Hey all, I wanted to refresh some interior panels on my 1995 BMW, and used Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer (the black bottle kind), which is supposed to be safe for all surfaces... well, it left these stains:

I sprayed directly on microfiber towel and then wiped it on the panel. Anyone have any idea how I can remove these stains? I tried wiping it off with water, but it does not seem to come off. I did check if the stains were actually "clean" sections and the rest of the panels are really dirty, but that's not the case.

That's odd considering QID is some pretty mild stuff. I use it on my IP and audio/climate control displays all the time without problems. Love that stuff. Maybe a little diluted APC.

Just a guess maybe its just exposing a problem with those 2 areas that already exists? Both area spots where you would see a lot of shoe marks. Back of seat from kids putting there feet up or infants in car seat doing the same, and the front door I know my drivers side door only 2 years old always looks weird with natural look products because i kick it all the time gettig in and out in that same spot. If I want to hide it a bit I need a cover up type product with a lot gloss.

Don't think so... I should've specified that I only used the detailer on the white-ish areas you see, I did not use it on the whole panel once I saw what was happening. In fact I was trying to rub off some shoe marks. Some people have told me there may have been a dressing on the panels previously that I removed, or this is how the UV protectant looks on the black panels, similar to how sunscreen looks on your skin..
