megs D-111 shampoo plus

I finished up a gallon of Meguiar’s D-111 Shampoo Plus at the end of the year last year. In my opinion it is the Detailer Line version of Gold Class. It is very nice soap. It has good cleaning ability and suds. It is good in the foam gun as well. It has conditioners in it that do leave a little something behind. The look is nice but it effects the beading and sheeting of sealants until it wears/rinses off in my experience.

I believe it calls for 1oz per Gallon on the label but I used it @ 4oz per 5 Gallons
$18 price @ 128 / 4 = 32 washes
$18 / 32 washes = $.5625 per wash

With that being said I did not but another gallon of D-111. I have switched to D-110 Hyper-Wash. It doesn’t add anything extra to the paint to change the properties of my LSP.
It says the dilution ration is 400:1. But it also says 1oz per 5 gallon of wash which is 640:1. I have used it at both 1oz per 5 gallon & 2oz per 5 gallon. Both are acceptable. 2oz increase the lubricity and cleaning ability but not that much

2oz per wash:
$26 price @ 128 / 2 = 64 washes
$26 / 64 washes = $.40625 per wash

1oz per wash:
$26 price @ 128 / 1 = 128 washes
$26 / 128 washes = $.203125 per wash

Perfect explanation Troy!

I'm with Troy. I have both Shampoo Plus and Hyper Wash in my current arsenal. SP is great, smells ok, and cleans great. However, I find it "looses" suds very quick. Hyper Wash, can't say enough good about it. I initially thought it was expensive, but at only 1oz per wash (I normally use 3-3.5 gal in the bucket) it last a ridiculously long time. Bought a gallon back in December and barely have made a dent in it. To me smells great, the suds last forever, and good cleaning ability.

I suspect that based on the dilution ratio that the Hyper wash would work well in a foam gun or foam cannon too.

It works very well in a foam gun and I suspect a cannon as well. In my opinion it will give those dedicated foam soaps a run for their money. When I am done with my DP Xtreme foam and honeydew snow foam I don't think I will buy them again.

Very much so. Used it in my foam gun a couple times and it had a great amount of foam, well atleast for what a garden hose attachable foam gun is capable of. Don't always use my foam gun, but when I do Hyper Wash definitely gets used in it.

Shampoo plus is the replacement of the very old Detailer Line Wash n' Wax and hence the name Shampoo PLUS (some sort of wax),
it is not a surprise if u find that it is leaving something behind.
