Megs #80 vs Vanilla Moose

Are these two comparable? Does VM have the bite of #80?

Just looking for some opinions, #80 is a main product in my arsenol and was thinking of giving VM a try if it was comparable.

Yeah, #80 is much more abrasive than VM. Contrary to what others have experienced, I've never been able to remove any marring (micro or otherwise) with VM. It's not nonabrasive, but it just doesn't cut b/c paint for me.

I certainly wouldn't reach for my VM if I had any defects to remove... far too mild IMO. As the others have said, #80 is by far the more aggressive out of the two. Although VM does work well on light oxidation and is very good on glass - I even use it on my window rubbers. Both products are 'up there' on my list of favourites - I always like to have both in my detailing box.

these are the exact answers I was looking for

thanks TEAM!

From these responses it sounds more like VM is comparable to megs Show Car and New Car Glazes

VM has more bit than #81, #7, #5 or #3 but not much more. It will remove light marring, spider swirls, etc with a polishing pad. #80 will remove up to moderate swirls, marring, etc. Definitely more abrasive than #80. It also finishes off real nice and wet.

#80 followed by VM then your LSP makes an excellent 3 step process that will leave your paint extremely wet looking.
