Meg's #80/S100

I have Megs #7, does Megs#80 give a different look than #7 considering both are glazes?

#80 is actually a swirl remover which contains a lagre amount of polishing oils. It is a cleaner/glaze IMO, a combo product if you will. The finish will not be as "wet" as #7, but IMO the look of #7 is hard to duplicate.

Basically comparing apples to oranges.....

ebpcivicsi,

Thanks for the reply. Got so much product already, but when you're on a quest for the best possible look, you're willing to try any product. What's happening to me? Thanks again.

There is some (I mean very little) durability qualities to #80. Body Shops use it as a final step a lot of times after work has been done.

What's good about it is it's versatility. You can use with a polish pad, an orange pad and a finishing pad.

Depending on the pad, I can use it as a swirl remover or a glaze. I use it as the sole polish before a wax or as a middle step after DACP before a wax.

For me, #80 - VM - #16 or Souveran paste is AWESOME for paints in good condition.

You just have to use it to appreciate it. It gets no love on this board except from me ebpcivicsi.

Yep, very versatile. I have used it by hand, PC, and rotary. It cuts really fast with a rotary, but gives great results. I typically use it with the PC and a yellow meg's pad.

80/81/insert LSP=

Do you mean in terms of durability? If so, then yes. I would not count on the speed glaze for much protection, just as splichy stated, the durability of speed glaze is very limited. The s100 would be the protective layer in the combo.
