Meg's # 21

Anyone have any experience or comments in regards to Meg's # 21? I understand it is supposed to be better than NXT, great durability and gloss....

Yeah, i like it better than NXT,i found it to be more durable than both the liquid and the paste versions. The hiding aspect is the same, but #21 looks darker, more reflective to me,a quite underated and underused product,IMO.

Its a little annoying that you can't type "#21" in the search but if you flip back a few pages in the product discussion there is a thread about #21. I'm looking around my area for the 16oz bottle. So far no luck :(

Speaking from first hand experience, Meg's #21 is probably one of the top 3 sealants on the market. I realize that is a bold statement, but, I have used several and feel I am giving you a educated honest response. On dark colors #21 gives a luxurius deep wet shine and on silvers it seems to give them lots of POP.

Durability is very good here in dry southern California. I wouldn't say "excellent" but I would rate it as very good. One area where #21 really rocks is in ease of application and removal. If you spread it very thinly it should take no more that 10 minutes to do an averge size car. Thats why I tell everyone to be sure to apply 2-3 thin coats for maximum durability and ease of work (ie wax on / wax off). On that same note, I have done an entire mid sized car with probably less than a 3/4 oz of product. It is that economical!

Many people are adding NXT on top of #21 to obtain a wetter look....but like all of the product combos....beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Here are some pics of 21 for your edification....

I'm a huge fan of 21. I used NXT before switching to 21 and NXT doesn't compare IMO. It's insanely reflective, but still pretty deep looking too. My favorite combo is 21 topped with 26. 21 makes it really reflective and 26 makes it look wet. 21 by itself is nothing to scoff at though. Here's my integra with one coat of 21.

The 2nd reflection shot is incredible!! :2thumbs:

I have to agree with yal that it's a little annoying you cant search for numbers. Especially considering all meguiars products are numbers. This makes it nearly impossible to search for them. By the way, all these pics are awesome!!! That integra looks great!!

A llittle trick - some forum software (including this one it appears) need to have four characters to perform a search. Putting "**21" into the search feature brought up 17 threads with 21 in the title and 308 with 21 somewhere in the post.

What you need to try is Chemical Guys EZ-poly acrylic it works really well underneath # 21 ; also get some Meg's #62 car wash it's worth it great wash amd combo of these products.

Waht you get is ahrd deep look thats reflective as well wish I had pictures to put up but it on a Champagin Gold color lookvery good :woot2:

Thats great info THANKYOU!:)

I love megs colorx....with #21 as a LSP.I did my g/f blazer 5 months ago and its still beading, but it is ready for another coat before winter.I would highly recommend getting the 64oz jug because you will diffently get your moneys worth outta it.

Chem guys EZ poly/acrylic glaze works well under 21 also werkstatt Prime works well under it too kinda replacement for Colorx except the look stays longer and is brighter.

FYI, you can search for things with just numbers, such as #21, by typing in:

*#21*

to search for numbered products between the stars.

In Chicagoland we have a chain called Lee Auto Parts that can special order #21 by 16oz or 64oz, do you have any Lee's near you?
