alot of people have been asking me why im more expensive than these open one day closed the next "detailing shops" for 100 dollars they use a compound then wax plus shampoo, i dont need to explain the difference to you but am tired of explaining the difference to everyone else....windows polished and sealed head&tailights the same clay polish seal then wax as if thats not enouph. anyhow i did witness a one bucket wonder outside the same shop im hearing about, i saw them using a see through bucket of chocolate milk looking soap, hello!!! is that not work the extra hundred dollars? sure is to me. anyhow i would like to hear some pros advice on what to say without completely dogging the "competition" oh not to mention i am mobile so how much is convenience worth to you?

just tell people that they can go to anyone else, but 9 times out of 10 they will get told they need more work at a higher price. sort of like the Midas Touch.

I quote one price, if I misquote I lose money, but mostly I'm right on the money.

1) Separate your business from competitors by training, quality and business practices. Clearly outline these differences when you greet your customers.

2) Sell the training and skillsets you have compared to your competitors

3) Continually search for new skills, tools, processes and training.

4) Integrate what new skills, tools, processes and training work for you into your workflow.

5) Expect more of yourself and work than your competitor does of himself. Be sure your customers are always amazed at the expectations you have for yourself.

6) Set goals for yourself, and then achieve them by refined procedures and solid business practices.

7) Invest in your customers; get to know them, their needs. Make an unrivaled commitment to them; provide the very best service at a value based on cost, service, quality, and commitment.
