matte plastic fairings...any hope?

The previous owner of my blue katana had the fairings repainted...looks almost like a spray can job :(. The finish isn't very glossy, so is there any hope? I have no idea if a VM+PC application would work on plastic. S100 and Plexus may help, but I want it pretty dern glossy, like OEM. Any ideas?
 
Hard to say w/o seeing the bike, but based on your description I'm gonna say its a lost cause. You simply cannot overcome lousy paint, no matter what products you use.



If you want it to look OEM, the only answer is a repaint. Sorry....... :(
