Marine detailing noobie questions

okay, i buff boats for several people over the summers but lately the boats have been coming up sub par and i cant figure out for the life of me what it is (I use aquabuff compound)

The boats are simply coming out smeary and it seems like the bonnet (no matter now new it is) will not pick up all the compound

Nick81012, are you using wool on a rotary? Which product are you using 1000 or 2000?

yes wool on the rotary at about 2500 rpms (6 on speed dial on the red atd buffer)



and I am using the 2000

is there something i could follow up with to pick up the smearyness and the extra compound?
