My Polisher did not come with a "locking nut" Could someone direct me to where I could purchase one on-line? Thanks!

You don't need one.

Just screw the backing plate on as tight as you can with your hand. Once you use it for for the first time with a pad, it will tighten up naturally from the friction between the paint and pad.

That's true, but I have difficulty removing the velcro pad. Any idea what size wrench to hold the spindle? thks.

You shouldn't need a wrench to remove the backing plate. There is a spindle lock on the 9227, the small black button on the side of the head. Press the button then turn the backing plate until the lock engages. Hold the lock button and remove the backing plate. No tools needed.

Ok, I see. Thanks, I was wondering what that black button was. Now that works great! Thanks, save me some money, I was thinking of getting my own wrench for this nut.

If you switch over to the Edge 2000 system for pads you won't even need that backing plate.

Yup, am currently using LC pad. Luckily I order some Edge 2000 pad from Dwayne just 2 weeks ago before the hurricane hit. Should be getting my package next Friday since I'm so far away from y'all. :wait
