Make a list for me!

O RLY?
I know everyone hates having to suggest products over and over again, so I apologize in advance.

I would like to try some new stuff. What I have so far is PB's: ssr2.5, PP, EX-P, Natty's, S&W, NL, and a bunch of their great MFs; Meg's: NXT wax, NXT wash #39; 4*: UGE; Adam's: VRT, Detail Sponges, In-N-Out; Edge Pads: the velcro has separated from all pads after 4 details.

Unfortunately and obviously, I have to buy new pads. The 7.5" Advanced CMA pads look worthy. Basically, what I'd like to do is try about $250 in new (to me) stuff, including pads and a backing plate. As far as products go, a light polish, paint cleaner, sealant, carnauba wax, and maybe a glaze are what I'm looking for. Can you help me out by listing what you think is worth buying?

Thanks!

Looks like you might want to try some Klasse AIO, Vanilla Moose, Zaino, S100, Meguiar's #16, Sonus pads, and Lake Country pads.

For pads and a backing plate you'll have a hard time beating the price at Exceldetail. The pads seem well made and Patrick carries a whole line of them now:

If you order his pad kit you'll get a backing plate and then you can order all the extra pads you want and save some $$$.

But as far as pads go, I use Meg's, various LC, and Propel (Excel Detail) and haven't had a problem with any of them. I'd also feel safe using Sonus pads because of their good reviews. It just seems the price of the Propel pads is hard to beat right now!

You should also try some VM (Vanilla Moose) and Quik Shine QD (also available from Patrick).

Eliot, those Propel pads look good, good price, but they only show the velcro side on the Excel site now (I vaguely remember there being a pic of the other side before). What does the business side of the pad look like? Flat? Concave? Radiused at the edges?

Thanks for the suggestions everybody.

Elliot, are the Excel pads' velcro glued on to the pad, or is it bonded to the pad? The Edge pads I bought separated from the velcro because they were put together with adhesive, so I'm looking for pads with bonded velcro.

Thanks for the link by the way, that's a great store!

Porkanbeans, I'm not sure how the Velcro is attached, looks bonded to me but you'll have to e-mail or PM Patrick to get a better answer.

JBM , no promo codes, but you won't find a better price on pads even with a discount (if you do then please PM me!). Another plus is you only pay the true shipping cost.
