Major equipment upgrade

After months of thinking about it and a few weeks figuring out the best way to purchase, I have finally ordered myself a Daimer Kleenjet Mega 1000cvp.

https://www.daimer.com/steam-cleaners/kleenjet-1000cv-sc.htm

I also ordered the stainless steel upholstery tool to go with it as well. This will be replacing my shop vac, firebird steamer and will be used as an extractor, replacing my mytee tempo as well. Couldn't be more excited for this to show up!

I spoke with Daimer on the phone a few times as well as a number of emails, and they were extremely helpful in answering my questions. So far customer service is a big thumbs up!

If this tool lives up to even half my expectations, it'll be worth every penny. I'll get some pictures and maybe some videos to share once it shows up and I can run it through its paces.

Cool !!!!
Vids, before and after pics will be required to make sure you are putting it to good use......

I've got some things lined up already. Just waiting on delivery! Expecting it maybe Monday or Tuesday

Thanks everyone!

gotta work on marketing around the machines anti bacterial certification and allergen removal capabilities. I'm pretty sure advertising that with my interior details will bring about a lot of business.

i also plan to find a way to put this machine to use in the off months up here in Michigan so I can keep making money year round

Congratulations, Shane !!!
That machine looks killer !!!
And its only using 13 amps ??? Wow !!!!

See that triangular brush attachment ?? You will want to get to know that and some of those little white towels they sell in the auto section of Target to tie over the brush head,, and that tool alone will clean up so much stuff for you including those never-been-cleaned-seat-belts-with-loads of body-oils-in-them, and about everything else that requires steam in a larger footprint...

I wore one out after almost 10 years and had to get another one.. :)

Be sure to have a good stainless steel long crevice tool with the internal mounted jet, and that bad boy will get steam, rinse, and extract your soap mixture from all the places a normal stainless steel carpet/upholstery tool just cant get to..

I have 3 different sized and angled stainless steel upholstery/carpet tools and will use all of them depending on the depth and angle of the carpet box I have to work with in each vehicle...

Yeah, this is going to be really great !! :)

13 amps, MAJOR selling point. I guess it cuts the power in half to the boiler when the vac is turned on, I was assured this does not effect performance of the machine at all once it's at operating temp.

i do believe it has a vac/steam crevice attachment from what I see in the pictures. I think it's plastic like the other tools though. I wasn't told they have a stainless crevice tool available. Maybe there's one out there I don't know about. I think the one that comes with it will be fine though. The stainless steel upholstery tool I purchased does have a sight window in it so I will be able to see all the crud its pulling up and know when it's clean.

As for that triangle tool, OMG I've wanted one for so long!!! Mytee really screwed up not making one for their steamers. I wouldn't buy another Mytee steamer on that fact alone. Or any steamer that doesn't include it I guess. I was so jealous every time I saw a video of someone using it. Can't wait!

Going to have to do some experimenting on how I want to handle the detergent injection. I could use it with just water for some extra "extractor" type use, but I may end up highly diluting an APC or something and using it that way. The possibilities are endless. I'm going to have fun learning and using this machine

Wow congrats! That steamer should definitely bring you a lot more business, especially promoting the anti bacterial certification and allergen removal capabilities.

If you listen to music from your phone while you detail like I do, you can set an alarm on your phone while the steamer is heating up. Then you can continue to detail until you hear the alarm to notify you the steamer is ready to go.

ShaneB- Hey, I'm envious! That looks great, and yeah Daimer's CS has always been good IME (though the one guy's accent is a bit heavy, which has made for some amusing conversations).

That 13A is simply incredible..though I couldn't find that spec when I checked out the link.

Well it came yesterday! Thumbs up for fast shipping. Unfortunately one of the wheels on the cart managed to break off in shipping. I have an email out to them which I expect a response from on Monday. I took a bunch of pictures while unboxing and will start a new thread when I have some time to put everything together.

First impressions, this thing is a tank! And I don't mean that in just that it's got a bunch of them. It's heavy and very solidly built. It's a shame the cart broke cause it needs to be on it or it doesn't sit flat and is pretty difficult to move around. Anyway, I'll save the rest for when I post all the pictures. I want to look over the manual and get to know it before firing it up and testing it out

I was pretty bummed, cause it tips over now and I really can't use the machine unless I prop it up, which basically makes the mobility part of the machine useless.

it was packaged very well, and the box didn't have any signs of damage. Just an unfortunate little setback. I'm going to try and get it fired up tomorrow and make sure everything works. Hopefully Daimer can just send me a new cart pretty quick. I really hope they don't make me send the cart back and wait 2 weeks for a new one

Ill have to get some good shots. Ive been so busy and short on time that I haven`t had much time to really document much. I am finding that I don`t use the vacuum nearly as much as I thought I would. Still finding every possible use for it but it has a learning curve to find uses for the vac portion.

I must say that the steam/vac combo makes cleaning out filthy cup holders (you know the ones im talking about) very efficient.

I have posted a couple videos to my facebook page, youre welcome to have a look at them there. As for a full video review? Ill work on it
