ok, here is the deal, I need to get busy enough for the summer now what I have graduated....but at the same time, I may end up moving to australia in september for 6 months, putting the business on hold...

I want reach more people and instead of putting an add in a newspaper they will see one time and throw away, I want to have someone door to door drop my already printed postcards...WHAT DO YOU CALL THOSE PEOPLE/SERVICES...I cant figure it out online to search correctly!

has anyone done this type of advertising, or do you just use a mailing list and pay per postcard passed out? I am thinking it might be cheaper using the droppers because its 41 cents to mail out things now and I have about 4000 post cards to get rid of...thats 1600 bucks I dont have for advertising at this point...I figure the cost would be less because its one guy passing out about 4-8 different flyers at one time

I got a bunch at my place today and not one flyer was in the same industry as another, so i figure there are not going to be competing businesses being passed out at the same time...

any thoughts...but not about me moving and starting a business...the move may or may not happen....

COntact a mailing house. They will usually drop ship your mailer to every residence in a zip code and they dont pay 41 cents to ship each item. Becuase it is lightweight and done in bulk.

Eric, I believe postage for post cards are cheaper than regular stamps. Furthermore, you can get bulk mail discounts. I'm not so sure you can pay someone to go door to door to drop off flyers for less than you can pay the post office to do it.
