Machine Foam Pads?

Can someone point me to a chart of what color pads perform what tasks? I am in the cleaning business and different color floor pads do different jobs no matter who makes them. Is this the same case as Car pads?

Also, I have been reading about foamed wool pads. What are they? Is this the same a wool pads? Do these types of pads get used on a Flex?

Thanks for the clarification.

No this is not the same case in car pads. Lake Country and Edge for example use different colors for the same pads......say LC white pad is polishing well an Edge white pad is Ultrafine Polishing so you cant go by the color all the time make sure you read up about the pads first and order what there purpose says not by the color.

Re: Machine Pads

LAKE COUNTRY----> orange and yellow would be good for compounding/polishing. white pads are good for cleaner waxes and very fine polishing. red/blue/black pads are all good for applying waxes and sealants...

The white pad is not for fine polishing. I've done some good correction with a white pad and ssr 2.5. Its my main go to pad for one steps and such.......i use the black to finish. :inspector:

I get some good correction with the white pad too but it was designed for light to medium polishing and will allow a product to finish out "very fine". That's what makes it the most versatile pad IMO.

They still do not have the green pad between white and black. I cannot find a flat version of the heavy polishing green pad. I am going to switch over since I use M105/205.

I'm curious. Why the need for a course green pad? Just to throw everyone off with the colors? :D

What will that pad do that none of the others will?

I was thinking of trying the gold pads for applying my wax and such. Is this pad a gimmick or does it really do what it says? For polishing the orange LC pads seem to do the trick every time for me.
