M105 Surbuf Flex 3401 to remove paint transfer

I did two jobs for friends today. (Sorry, I have no pictures but it was spot work and words describe it well) The first involved removing yellow parking pole paint from a pretty new metallic silver Subaru Outback. I used ONR to clean the bumper, used clay, and then liberal amounts of M105 with Surbuf pad using Flex 3401 polisher. IIRC I had to stick to about a pad size spot for each M105 application on the pad to remove all the yellow paint. Sunlight and swirl finder light showed no micromarring or any issues and I didn't need to follow up with any finishing polish as my friend was going to repaint soon but wanted to show his wife that he attempted to fix the issue when she got home from her business trip since it was her car.

The second was to remove yellow overspray from the side of a brand new Subaru STi. The car was parked on the side of a downtown street, no signs were posted to say that lines would be painted and the city paint truck painted the lines during the evening commute. The overspray was all over and I had to collect a good amount in a bag for the city to be able to test in order to reimburse my friend. I spent an hour removing the overspray with clay and by hand to collect the samples and from nooks and crannies.

The best part of the day was getting to meet the Summit Rally Team from Australia and do an apparel trade with them. They field two RWD turbocharged right hand drive Nissan Silvia cars in the Rally America series and Will Orders' car has won the 2WD class of the races he's competed in. Keep an eye out for Will Orders and Ross Allan this next year as they are doing big things and there are big things to come for them!
