M105 Ordered it, help with results!

I ordered the M105 to try using it to hand buff out some of the damage to my paint. I had read that it is the best product to try and use if your not sure how to use a pc or rotary. I didnt see any results and yes a i prepped the surface by clay bar. Anything im doing wrong or just man up and buy a rotary, suggestions on which one?
