M105 (old formula) vs PlasticX

Maybe a stupid question, which has more correcting ability on acrylic and polycarbonate plastic, I tried 105 and a 3" buff and shine yellow pad and it didn't seem to work much faster then plasticX :nixweiss

The M105 is my go-to for headlight jobs.

When I first started doing headlights, I'd do the wet-sanding thang - 1000, 1500, 2000, PlastX, then sealant. Now, I just start with the 105 and I can usually skip all the other steps except sealant.

It's way more powerful than PlastX.

By hand rotary or DA ?

I use the DA when electricity is available rather than the rotary. I figure the less heat the better where plastic is involved.

Where there's no electricity available, I use a cordless drill.
