I own a 1991 celica and I bought some M105 compound just got it in today so i wash the car up with some dawn soap then clayed and used the compound with a griots DA 6" with their orange pad and the M105 didnt do a single thing to the car. Any ideas?
IMO the Griot's pad is a bit gentle for serious correction with M105, better as a second step with it in cases where you get awful micromarring from a more aggresssive first step.
That seems odd but make sure you're going nice and slow with some pressure and try a LC orange or yellow pad or even the surbuf pads with the m105. Has that panel maybe been repainted?
LC orange pad on speed 6. The Griots is a monster at that speed. WAY better than my old PC.
There are a few very well respected detailers on here that I have seen only use speed 6 for defect correction. Made a huge difference for me when I started going that route.
How much M105 did you use? Maybe look into a more aggressive pad as well. I like the detailers domain uber pads, the yellow one would be a good choice.
