M105 & G110 on a 2006 C6 Vette

What do you guys think? Swirls are pretty bad, i'm going to give it hell this saturday. Anyone have any experience working with m105 on c6's clears? I've got two green edge pads, Will just keep cleaning them and rotating.

I plan to follow with 205, 7, and 21.

I think anything is possible with enough passes and enough pressure with M105.

Also, you should not need to follow 205 with 7. Just go straight to #21...trust me after that C5 clear gets leveled you are not going to want to go through that extra step!

Yeah you're probably right. That's encouraging though. This customer had a previous "detailer" buff his car and left him very unhappy. I'm planning on staying there until it's done right. This is where I can really do a lot for my reputation coming in after someone else and doing a great job-you know? I'm sure after I correct the swirls, and from what he tells me they're pretty bad (so sad on a new vette) that i'll be dying to get out of there. haha

P.s. I made a typo, it's a c6 vette not a c5 (been a long day. lol)

I would expect you to need 4" pads. My experiments with a PC/6" foam/M105 were a dismal failure, and that was on probably-softer GMC clear. Using 4" pads solved the problem completely.

Note that M105 can leave psuedo-hologram hazing that's only visible under certain conditions, so make sure you really hit it with the M205 step. While some go straight from M105 to a M205/finishing pad combo, I do better with a more aggressive intermediate step.
