A good friend of mine wanted his C6 polished so he gave me a call. He is about as anal as I am, so, as I expected, the car was immaculate when I got it!

There were so few swirls, I couldn't even get good camera shots of them. So most of these pics are "after" shots.

1. Z6 wipedown
2. M205 by PC with 5.5" LC Orange
3. Z6 wipedown
4. Z5P by PC with 6.5" LC Pro Red
5. Z6 wipedown
6. Z8 wipedown

The depth of the paint turned out fantastic. Like I said, he really takes care of his cars...:D

How much product does the red pad hold when using Z5? I've always used Zaino by hand because it is quick, easy, and I didn't want to have a lot of product used up in the buffer pad.

Is it a big deal or not much more than a hand applicator?

Thanks,
Randy

I like using the Red Pro pad for Z5 application because it's very soft and I can lay it on so fast. I applied the product to the entire car in less than 10 minutes. Let it sit for maybe 15 minutes, then I wiped with a Meg's X2020 MF (assisted by a spritz of Z6 for any stubborn spots).

As far as the pad absorbing product, I haven't really noticed any product waste. After applying Z5 to the pad, I'll give it a squirt of Z6 just so it will glide over the paint smoothly. The pad is pretty dry when I finish.
