Lug nut protector sockets

I have read some of you pros post mentioning the use of lug nut protectors/rubber sockets when removing wheels.

I am looking into getting some. Is there any brand that is recommended or does it matter?

Thanks. Fixing to have suspension work done on the SRT and want to have some that the shop can use to protect my gloss black rims upon removal. Discount scuffed them slightly when installing already. :(

There are several manufacturers that make 5 piece color coded sets. I swear these are the same product with different names on them. I've seen them on Amazon from $30 up.

We got ours from Harbor Freight... comes with an 11 piece set, and with the 20% off coupon is just $48. It's been very useful and has help up great so far.

1/2 in. Drive Super High Torque Lug Nut Impact Socket Set 11 Pc

Second the Harbor Freight ones. They've got the poly outer sleeves so that you don't scuff up the lug bores (Thank you Goodyear for not using them for my new wheels on my Challenger.. Grr)

Get a reasonable priced 1/2" Torque wrench while you're there for correctly torquing the lugs. If you're building motors you need a good one, for lugs any decent quality one will work.
