I took my car in on Tuesday to get my a/c compressor replaced and while I was waiting, one of my regulars called and asked if I had any time to clean his car (along with the big boss and secretary's) cars. I told him I was at a repair shop and my car wouldn't be done until late in the afternoon. He asked where I was at, and I told him it was only a couple of miles from their office--so he said he would come pick me up.

:up Hell yeah! Made some money instead of sitting on my butt (I was about to go to the nearby public library) and got back in more than enough time to get my car back (with nice, ice cold a/c again).

Of course, my customer had alterior motives-his regular day is Wednesday morning, and he wanted me to wash the cars I normally do for them Tuesday so I could detail his 740iL so he could turn it in at the end of it's lease (his 745Li is on boat making it's way across the Atlantic). In any event, a day I had resigned to no income turned around nicely. :xyxthumbs

I had a lot of people complement my Pastor on her Concorde after I did an exterior detail on it. Everyone who felt it was amazed at how smooth it was. As a result, she is now a return customer. I am going to be detailing her car again this year.

Then on top of that, I am getting people from my job who want their cars done (including a nice 60's Cutlass Convertible). :D

damn! you must have quite a rep for customers to pick you up for a job! :)

I must be doing something right-I've been detailing their cars for more than 8 years now. It's nice to be appreciated.
