I am doing a review on the Low Rider color changing wheel cleaner and car soap
The car I am working on is my roommate's who uses his car for work purposes and hasn't washed it in two months. Needless to say it was a good vehicle to put these products to the test.
Up 1st is the wheel cleaner going at a good deal of brake dust.
This would be the start of the 1st application of the wheel cleaner.
The wheel cleaner did make some progress in breaking down the brake dust but not at the pace I was liking. I used a variety of tools including the speedmaster wheel brush and the boars head lug nut brush. I eventually gave up for a while and went exclusively to the Blackfire Tire and Wheel cleaner which was yielding faster results.
I did go for a second application. That with the lug nut brush created the most visible progress from that particular cleaner.
While the soap went from slightly more impressed than expected to very impressed. To be thorough, even though this was not mentioned on the product or the product page, I incorporated the use of the foam gun. I liked the soap overall and how well do soap foamed up was the best surprise.
I used about 3 1/2 ounce and filled up the half gallon foamaster about halfway.
I filled my 5 gallon bucket to about 3 3/4 full and used slightly over the 2 ounce per gallon recommendation.
Overall I wouldn't exactly call the wheel cleaner a bad product, definitely has value if your wheels are in good shape, just not something I would consider a getting in the future with all of the other wheel cleaning options.
The soap I really liked. Not in my top shelf quite but I would definitely invest in more and highly recommend.
